I develop and implement the Transportation Improvement Plans of Native American Tribes in the Western Region. My expertise ensures that their funds from the Federal Highway Administration for construction, transit, safety and road maintenance projects are leveraged in a timely, effective manner.I represent the DOT in meetings with transportation representatives of Tribal, Federal, State and local governments. I review Long Range Transportation Plans, Safety Plans, Bridge Inspection reports, Project Progress Reports and requests for reimbursements. I make five year estimates of costs for each project, develop project schedules, and write statements of work for transportation contracts. As part of this process I manage the Regions transportation system inventory, bridge inventory, and road maintenance performance management databases. I have a BS in Geological Engineering from the University of Arizona, a current P.E. registration as a Civil Engineer in Arizona, and a NBI bridge inspector certification.
