After I was put on a high demanding commercial account with CIBC and exceeded all expectations, my boss and I talked one day about growing with the company. He then sent me to school to obtain my IBM Server Specialist Certificate. We chose this as it would be beneficial to allow me to work on all IBM servers we had contracts with as well as now utilize that certificate and… Show more My Story:I really loved this job at Microage. This is where I obtained most of my hands-on experience. After I was put on a high demanding commercial account with CIBC and exceeded all expectations, my boss and I talked one day about growing with the company. He then sent me to school to obtain my IBM Server Specialist Certificate. We chose this as it would be beneficial to allow me to work on all IBM servers we had contracts with as well as now utilize that certificate and knowledge for CIBC's IBM servers too.I was responsible for CIBC Corporate account at their Head Office in Toronto. I repaired and maintained there IBM computers for account managers, troubleshoot and resolve problems and correct issues. I supported CIBC managers with the installation or re-image of computer software, backing up data and instruct managers on use of there computer system and client-server software platform Lotus Notes from IBM. This technical assistance was provided in cooperation with IBM supporting the commercial platform. Eventually, I became an IBM Server Specialist to complement my current responsibilities on the commercial platform and would respond in addition to the IBM Server calls.Certifications: IBM - HP - Compaq - A+ - Network+ - IBM Server SpecialistI had gained alot of knowledge and experience working here but due to a family incident and inadvertently too much time passing by I took another career path until now.
