Spurred on by something I heard at a sales conference in 2011, I decided to create a networking group for sales professionals in Auckland. The Central City Sales Hub meets monthly to share and learn about best practice in sales. There is nothing more off-putting then pushy sales techniques and I see the Hub as being my opportunity to help raise.

With a background in sales, I arrived at Frog determined to develop new revenue streams to support business growth. Despite being new to the recruitment industry, I quickly learned about the business and clients and set up a series of ‘candidate talent pools’. These pools of experienced, high-quality contractors helped clients quickly fill gaps in key.

I’ve always been a huge fan of training and development so my role at The Retail Institute was particularly satisfying. Whilst there, I managed client accounts worth over $2m a year, equivalent to 80% of the Institute’s annual revenue. And I had responsibility for an operational budget of $450k.The Retail Institute develops industry standards, training.

As Group Account Director, I managed all the sales functions for this market research business. This comprehensive sales role covered everything from developing the Asia Pacific sales strategy through to negotiating new contracts and improving client retention both in New Zealand and overseas.
