HYPAR (Helping Young People At Risk) is an innovative support service, specialising in providing mentoring and respite services for young males. We provide highly skilled male mentors who have experience and training in working with young people with complex behaviours.We believe that supportive relationships are a key factor in building resilience in at-risk children. In fact, research shows that children who can identify one person in their life who believes in them and offers support when needed are more resilient to stress in the long term (Werner, 1993). Involvement in community activities and a sense of connectedness also help to build resilience in at-risk children. We encourage mutual partnerships, confidence and independence undertaking activities such as abseiling, kayaking, mountain biking and hiking. This is another way in which HYPAR mentors aim to help the young males we work with.

The main focus of my position is to ensure that extremely talented performers are able to express their musical styles within local venues in a way that works in with the vision of the venue manager. With the main emphasis on maintaining or increasing clientele and revenue for the client and creating a healthy long term business relationship for all parties.
