Graphic Design

- Responsible for designing quality print and digital resources which are used across a variety of communication channels which services the 700+ members.- Initiate and drive projects from conception to completion working with writers, videographers and the communications team. - Responsible for designing and printing weekly bulletins, seasonal flyers, slides, ads, mass emails, social media and signage.

- Responsible for overseeing graphic design at this location and led a team of up to 10.- Initiated and drove projects from conception to completion working with writers, videographers, photographers and graphic design teams. - Collaborated with YWAM directors to make sure goals were being met within our marketing strategies.- Worked with the Eastern European Director for YWAM to rebrand 4 locations and roll out new marketing strategies for each site. One such project was partnering with John Brown University in Arkansas, overseeing 10 undergraduate students. - Responsible for petty cash, processing on average $5,000 worth of requests per month.

- Led between 2-8 international students on three month intensive School of Design (SoD) and School of Digital Communication (SDC) which are accredited with the University of the Nations (UofN.edu) as part of an AA or BA degree.- Taught classes in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, typography, logo and corporate identity, elements and principles of design and exhibition skills.- Creatively coached students on a one on one level to enable them to see their projects from conception through to completion.- Collaborated with local businesses and charities for student-led rebranding projects.- Responsible for course budget and purchasing.- Managed a staff team of 1-4 people.- Coordinated schedules of guest speakers.- Ensured that University of the Nations’ curriculum goals and objectives were met.

- Recruited to new YWAM location due to previous experience and was responsible for local and national print design.- Redesigned YWAM England’s national magazine and was responsible for printing and distributing to over 3,000 subscribers.- Redesigned new advertisement campaign for YWAM England which was printed in a variety of UK nationwide magazines.- Led a short-term team of graphic designers to create large format posters of corporate goals.- Print design for a variety of different departments: postcards, banners and posters.

This was a period of leave granted for study, travel and seeking future direction. I took a leadership and character development course in Toronto, Canada and then traveled to New Zealand, Australia and the west coast of America.

- Responsible for graphic design and marketing.- Instigated and drove promotional projects from conception to completion, such as: brochures, postcards, newsletters, short videos, signs, banners, and other stationery elements.

- Responsible for creating posters, signs, welcome brochures for two UofN training courses: School of Design (SoD) and School of Digital Filmmaking (SDF).- Taught classes inin Intro to Graphic Deisgn, Adobe Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, video editing and creative inspiration.- Individually coached between 5 to 10 international students.- Maintained Apple Mac video editing suites.- Led mentoring and character development groups.

- Co-led international youth teams to Northern Ireland, Kosovo and Lithuania.- Planned several monthly youth events with up to 250 participants.- Responsible for design and distribution of flyers for mission trips and events.

The Store Manager recruited me to reorganise the department shop floor and stock room, to bring the department back into profit and see the team motivated again. The team of 8 sales, repair and warehouse staff worked well organising, reworking the shop floor and selling computers, printers, software and a wide range of accessories. Together we were able about to reach these targets and I left the department running well.

Over a period of 4 years I was a floor manager of both Footwear and Clothing sales floors. I was responsible for leading a team of up to 30 retail and warehouse staff, ordering new stock, staff schedules and training, opening and closing the store, recruiting & dismissal of staff, overseeing cashiers and banking daily, customer service, displaying and organising stock on the shop floor and in the warehouse.
