My journey from the military to next-generation technology coupled with forward thinking has taken many paths. The focus on business outcomes isn't new, I've been doing that since 2011! I learned that I have a passion for aligning business goals, career goals, personal goals, and technology; be it a customer, a business, a partner, or an individual. This ideology is often wrapped up in solution selling, but it goes beyond just the speeds and feeds. We must look into the environment, the people, and process to analyze, assess, and determine a truly agile methodology, DevOps, orchestration, automation, and what this multi-cloud world means to everyone. I want to know people and keep the human touch component that is oft missed these days, Melonie Dodaro said it best, "People don't care about your business, they care about their problems, be the solution they're looking for." To truly be someone's solution, you must care about their problems as they do and be empathetic.Currently, I ensure these qualities are embedded in everything I do as I continue to educate, train, and mold a team of individuals all across the United States. Finding good talent isn't easy, keeping them is even harder, so one must truly care about the success of those around them.A recent highlight of the above: (2017) Built a lab in 24 days that was comprised of Cisco ACI, Cisco HyperFlex, Cisco UCS Director, Cisco CloudCenter, and tie-ins to Azure and AWS. The lab environment showed a fully automated and orchestrated environment with 1-button GUI menus providing AWS-like functionality and ease of use for on-premise & cloud environments. (2018) Continuing education for customers in the application stack through products like AppDynamics to help them understand that infrastructure will always be here, but we must ultimately elevate our conversation and look at the true business impact - the applications - and how they perform, when they perform, and why they perform where they do.
