This was a front line support group for both internal and external partners to Microsoft. Working to help with any release issues they may have. This included Code Sign, and a number of internal processes, working as a liaison between the customer and other tiers of support were required.

I also worked as part of a team where we dealt with PID Keys (Product Identifier Keys). This was generally working with granting groups/companies extensions to the number of keys that they had available and also with investigations into key usage.

Management of systems used for the scanning of products, services and web components from the Company. This included the management of a number of different AV products on a large number of workstations. Management of signature updates and the processes involved. I also conducted investigations into potential malware and dealing with external vendors when needed to bring investigations to a resolution. My work in this area enabled Microsoft to release products with the knowledge that they were Malware free, and that the external vendors we worked with did not flag clean files as suspicious, this helps to give customers a better experience when using Microsoft products.

During this period I worked for Scanveco Ireland and was responsible for the allocation of new vehicles to SAAB dealerships nationwide and the ordering of new stock and special orders from Sweden. Other responsibilities included the resolution of discrepancies on orders, dealing with customer/dealer issues, the reconciliation of inventory items and also communications with the field sales staff. Also during my period with the OHM Group, I helped the IT Department to troubleshoot and resolve some issues that occurred in the groups many companies. I also created and deployed an internal Bulletin Board System for a group wide buy and sell.

During this time I worked for the Small Form Factor and Mobility group within the Global Engineering Section of IT. My role involved the creation and maintenance of a secure automated corporate build for Pocket PC devices. This build was a customer initiated, certificate based, automated build which was required to meet with corporate handheld security guidelines. I also managed a project from its conception right though to the initial release within Intel. This project ran in conjunction with the Office User. The project was the development of secure builds for Industrial Enterprise Models such as Symbol and Intermec. This project included a standardised secure build for the fabrication plants and stores used globally by Intel.I was responsible for 3rd Level engineering support calls as well as engineering the different Secure Build Types (Standard Office User, FAB User, Industrial User, etc). This involved Wireless LAN connectivity troubleshooting as well as acting as advisor/liaison to software development groups for PDA/Smart phone projects.

For 5 years I worked as a freelance consultant and technician, to both households and businesses. Tasks that I had to complete included, but were not limited to, networking, internet connectivity, repairing business applications and resolving hardware issues. My tasks also entailed the design of systems specifically for use on sea vessels that were used as GPS navigation systems. I also designed and created video editing suites, both hardware and software, for small businesses and a computerized stock control system for an international exporter.

While I was with Tiny my duties included sales and also dealing with technical support issues. A majority of the sales were from off the street customers, with some phone sales concluded also.Many of my clients were home users however there were also dealings with the small to medium sized businesses. The products that were sold included computer hardware, peripherals and warranty services.

While on board the vessel my duties where wide and varied and included some IT related issues that occurred on the navigation and communications equipment. I was also the engineer responsible for the operational maintenance of the engines, hydraulics and electronics. Along with these tasks I also took watches on the wheel and general deckhand duties.

My role while working in the restaurant was part of the management team. My responsibilities included stock control, staff management and the day to day running of the business. In addition to the general management role it also fell to me on occasion to work in the kitchen as a chef.
