I am MD of a Zine website design agency, based in Luton, Bedfordshire. As a company we are tightly focussed on creating websites that help our clients to build their businesses.Great aesthetic design is a given, but nobody orders a website just as an artistic contribution to the internet.Websites have to earn their keep and that means they have to be designed with goals in mind. So, when I am discussing a new build with a client it has to start with a discussion about their company, or other organisation, and move on to the kinds of customers they are trying to attract through the new site.Of course, putting a quality website together is a good start, but most websites begin life as a needle in a haystack. You next have to consider the question of getting the right traffic to the site.At Zine we have experts who specialise in SEO and social media. If your company is able to put aside a monthly budget we can help you build an audience for the site.We begin by taking a snapshot of current or initial performance and follow-up with monthly updates to demonstrate the real progress that we are making for you. That way we can demonstrate that you are getting bang for your buck. Then, providing that you have well written copy on your landing pages, you should start seeing real benefits to your bottom line.Just call, or email me and I can probably give you a rough idea on price once I know what you want.Accurate price quotations can only be given after a full consultation, by which time I should know exactly what you have in mind. The main Zine website is at: http://www.zineuk.co.ukI also have my own website, Webwisa (built by me, not the talent at Zine), offering free advice to SMEs on how to build a strong business presence on the internet. All hints and tips come in the form of easy to follow, not too lengthy videos. The Webwisa site can be found at: http://www.webwisa.com

I then formed a company (with a partner) in 1996 called Wright Technologies Europe, which was dealer for an Australian company, Wright Technologies. We were systems integration specialists in the pre-press industry. Our main product ran on DEC Alpha sytems and was competing with the dreadful Apple Mac offerings of the day, running Photoshop.Tragically, it turned out that the Mac was not as dead as everybody thought and Photoshop definitely grew into something much better than we hoped. Several lessons learned there, I think, but we lasted for four years, somehow. This was during the dot com boom, during which time we came very close to securing significant funding from a major venture capitalist for a large database driven web project. Next, in 2000, I joined Kodak as an installation specialist and then as a remote support engineer before I decided to accept a golden opportunity to make my way to the exit door in late 2012.Since 2012 I have done a number of things, mostly projects that have grabbed my interest, rather than paid well; including writing, web design, and so on.Currently, I work part-time on business development for my son's company, SafeSure Plumbing and Heating Ltd., based in Luton.
