Wildly successful, it sold through the first quarter’s production in 3 weeks. It became a new product line and a source of OEM business for Philips. The SmartTalk home A/V control protocol became the HAVi and HomeAPI standards. The UPnP and Jini standards also shared a suspiciously strong resemblance to elements of SmartTalk. -
