I'm a recent Network Administration graduate from Trios College, after almost 30 years of working as a professional Tattoo Artist. This seems like big career shift (and it is) but, I have had an interest in computers and tech for about as long as I have worked in the tattoo industry. In every place I have worked I also maintained small networks (and was always considered the unofficial "IT person"). While I still remain interested in art and creativity, I am excited about moving forward into the tech industry - or working at a job that involves elements of both such as the Video/Computer Game industry. I have been heavily involved in Toronto's music scene, playing in bands, stage setup and security for decades. I also have experience working in the film industry through bit parts, security and various labour jobs. Some of my hobbies and other passions include: fitness and martial arts, biking, hiking, carving, sculpture and more recently cooking and gardening. Over all, my goal is to continue striving for personal growth. To keep learning and improving over time.One of my favourite things that I heard from an instructor was: "I liked to tell potential employers that I'm lazy, which is a strong motivation to do things right the first time." There are, of course, many other reasons to strive for perfection (with the understanding that "perfection" is a direction rather than an attainable goal) but, that resonated with me.
