I respond to the incoming phone requests of customers, both retail and wholesale, as well as greeting those that walk in at the front counter. I also work with the Honda shop with 20+ technicians in a busy, light /heavy maintenance/repair production environment. This involves parts specification and procurement, profit margin calculation, and the accurate entry of data within the dealer management system (ADP).

I supervised all activities of the Parts Department including monitoring department expenses, customer services, and parts & accessories inventory.

I walked the beat in three counties, raising the awareness of the location of Mr. Jacoby’s new dealership. I spent several months visiting with wholesale customers, both current and prospects, becoming familiar with the sales territory. I created a sales plan with the tools necessary to increase the customer base and track the success thereof. I implemented the Reynolds’ & Reynolds’ Paperless Special Order System that was unused prior to my arrival, saving time looking through files and walking the storeroom floor, thus, increasing productivity.

Normal duties included: parts specification and procurement, profit margin calculation, claims processing, order receipt verification/stocking, bin maintenance, establishing standard operating procedures, dispatching delivery drivers, operation of inventory system, shipping, receiving, and cashiering. In addition, I trained new employees as entry-level parts counter persons or delivery drivers, to operate in a high stress, demanding environment.
