I have over fifteen years of experience in business operations, government affairs, investment transactions, complex business acquisitions, HOA and real estate matters, intellectual property, business litigation and risk management. I served as Executive Vice President & Chief Legal Officer of Associations, Inc. (Associa), one of the nation’s largest property management companies with over 170 offices and 10,000 employees across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, South Africa and United Arab Emirates. As one of five company Executive Vice Presidents, I influenced strategic planning, sales and marketing strategies, P&L, budget planning, supplier/vendor relationships and workflow optimization for company revenue initiatives. During my time at Associa I successfully handled due diligence, document preparation, negotiation and oversight of the acquisition of over 85 companies. I also served as president of Associa’s full service title company (AssociaTitle), president of Associa’s political action committee (AssociaPAC), president of Associa’s collection company (HCS), and president of Associa’s construction and restoration company (Lincoln Hancock Restoration).Prior to joining Associa, I served as legislative committee director and staff attorney for Associa’s founder and CEO John Carona, in his position as Texas state senator.
