Established in 1995 and listed on the NZAX, Zintel Group Limited provided innovative telecommunications solutions, including business phone systems, contact centre solutions, Toll free and voice services - through to network infrastructure and structured cabling. Zintel Group had over 190 employees operating from 15 nationwide offices across New Zealand. I was Acting CEO of New Zealand operations for 18 months. During this time Zintel acquired Cogent Communications Ltd, established a payments distribution business and signed an MVNO agreement with Telecom.The company sold its assets for three times is pre-sale market capitalisation and has returned funds to shareholders.

Mail Holdings Group was an alternative mail operator providing domestic and international mail services in New Zealand through two subsidiaries, New Zealand Mail Limited and Universal Mail Limited and in the United Kingdom through UK Mail Limited.

WIltshire Equities Ltd was a private investment company.My responsibilities included: managing a portfolio of investments including shares in listed companies, property and start-up companies; an initial public offering; advising on the startup and chairing Universal Mail Limited and New Zealand Mail Limited; buying and establishing a commercial platform for the New Zealand Warriors for Eric Watson - this included negotiating support from the NRL, Auckland Regional Council, New Zealand Rugby League and key sponsors; managing litigation and disputes for various entities.

Responsibilities included corporate trouble shooting: advising the boards of public entities on issues including strategy, planning, systems and tariffs; due diligence investigations and acquisition management; valuing companies ranging in size up to $200 million; business planning for a wide range of clients outside the insolvency arena; providing valuation and expert evidence to support litigation; developing cost reduction programmes, business process re-engineering and corporate management restructuring for a range of operations in New Zealand and Australia including Air New Zealand, Goodman Fielder and Wattie’s group; secondment to Value Management Associates, a Sydney based consulting subsidiary of Ferrier Hodgson; assisting businesses develop recovery strategies, prepare business plans, restructure, negotiate continuing financial support and monitor recovery; packaging and selling businesses and real estate portfolios; trading companies in receivership.
