Volunteer Coordinator - Health Care

• Coordinating the Department of Volunteer Resources for the Odette Cancer Centre and the Holland Arthritic and Orthopedic Centre• Assess organizational needs and make recommendations to enhance the volunteer program and the services it delivers• Responsible for the delivery and oversight of the complete Volunteer Management Cycle for both Hospital sites• Networking with Post-Secondary institutions, high schools, social services and community partners to provide Volunteer services for patients and their families • Develop training and orientation programs for staff and volunteers to provide Volunteer driven services throughout the organization• Develop a comprehensive retention and recognition program for all volunteers

The position of Manager, Volunteer Resources is responsible for assessing the need of the hospital and planning for appropriate volunteer support. The Manager will be responsible for recruiting, screening, orientation, training, appropriately placing, providing recognition and evaluating volunteers/volunteer services for Cambridge Memorial Hospital. Liaising with the Volunteer Association guided by the mission Statement and the Policies of the Association and Cambridge Memorial Hospital is an integral part of the role. The position involves the development and maintenance of policies/procedures for the department of Volunteer Resources. In conjunction with Directors/Managers, the Manager, Volunteer Resources determines, develops and maintains new volunteer programs and services. This role entails membership on various teams/committees at Cambridge Memorial Hospital and in the community.
