Primary point of contact to approve patient transport refusals and determine if appropriate course of action is being followed in accordance with regulations and operating procedures.Investigate complaints and concerns from patients and their families about their concerns with care received from the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic.

Working side by side with other first response agencies and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) providers to facilitate the most appropriate response for an incident.Communication is a very important aspect of this job, including various forms of communicating in writing emails, memos, and formal event letters. Other forms of communication also include phone, teleconference, video conference, and in person.Coordinated with the grant writing department to obtain specialized equipment so that appropriate care could be provided to ill and injured persons that were affected by special events.Coordinated the medical care of the participants for the annual Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon for the last 6 years. This was done with the marathons medical staff and EMSA’s Office of the Medical Director, outside EMS agencies, first response providers, Medical Emergency Response Center (MERC), and OCFD. Served as the Medical Command for the Marathon with all responders reporting directly to me.
