Interlinked Media provided text-messaging services to large organisations and agencies. In 2006 we expanded to the USA and opened an office in Dallas, Texas along with our offices in London and Newcastle. The platform was subsequently optimised for the US market and viewed as a leading service by users. It was ultimately acquired by a client, which represented a successful exit for the management team.During this time we provided the text messaging services for the Hillary Clinton nomination campaign for the 2008 US presidential election. This saw extensive development to keep up with the demands of the campaign trail. At one point we sent the first text message from an ex US president (Bill Clinton) to celebrate her birthday.Following the end of the Clinton nomination campaign, we created a partner program using the platform to allow local, targeted text message marketing campaigns. At it's peak, we had 35 partners spanning many different US States and market verticals including Ripley's Believe It or Not and Bally's Fitness.My role included designing and building scripts for messaging (SMS, MMS) applications for our marketing platform as well as for clients. Other responsibilities included front end web design using HTML, CSS and Javascript.
