Paul manages the portfolio of international sustainable mobility projects in which Vectos takes a leading role. Projects are funded by Horizon 2020, UK Aid and the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development and tackle the areas of: Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans; modal shift and congestion reduction; shared mobility; mobility hubs, Mobility as a Service; travel demand management; electric, hydrogen and automated vehicles; demand responsive transport; eVTOL, the psychology of behaviour change; and gender issues in transport. He feeds these new innovations into the overall transport planning work in Vectos, helping to design and deliver "Vision and Validate" sustainable mobility and placemaking strategies for urban and rural developments. Paul has 16 years’ experience in developing and delivering innovative international sustainable transport and mobility projects. He has established a trusted contact base across European institutions, cities, research institutions and consultancies, as well as an in-depth knowledge of international funding programmes. His knowledge and experience is enhanced from positions in the private and public sector, employment in London and Brussels, and collaborations with partners across Europe, the US, Africa and the Middle East.As nominated expert at the World Health Organisation, he championed the benefits of integrating the areas of transport, health and environmental policy in cities. He has a sound understanding of the latest opportunities and trends in the European transportation sector; which enabled him to make positive contributions to the Polis Network Management Committee and the Association of European Transport Programme Committee. Paul regularly chairs and presents at key transport conferences across the world, disseminating project innovations in order to build capacity across the sector. Through his 2½ years' experience in Brussels as transport and environment policy adviser, Paul developed a sound understanding of the processes of the European institutions.Paul's specialist areas include: sustainable urban transport and mobility, connected and automated vehicles, MaaS, electric vehicles, shared mobility services, gender equality in transport, ICT, ITS, behaviour change, active travel, road safety, social inclusion, public engagement and the interconnected themes of transport, health, environment and economic growth.
