Ensure crew and apparatus readiness, crew safety; maintain station and apparatus inventory.Attend and present at schools regarding fire safety and education; perform home safety checks which include ensuring safety of residents with smoke detector installations. Perform building walkthroughs to ensure proper emergency response at high target hazards. Ensure employees are up to date on company policies, procedures and best practices.Work with multiple computer software programs to ensure proper documentation of necessary data for department records such as employee time cards for payroll, Fire and EMS reports, performance evaluations, employee records, pre-fire plans, work orders, training records and vehicle records just to name a few.
