Director Of Physical Biochemistry
Managed Discovery groups for Small Molecule Assays, and NMR, Crystallography (Small Molecules and Biologicals), and Modeling. Coordinated Biophysics efforts among groups.• Expanded Assay group capabilities by teaching enzymology to deepen research purview, creating time for this by outsourcing routine IC50 tasks for three programs.• Defined Crystallography and Modeling groups’ joint objective for structure-guided Antibody optimization (CDR loop conformation analyses). Engaged internal and external resources to provide essential data to support the objective.• Promoted and guided the use of our internal NMR resource to solve the structure of a critically important antibody (intractable by X-ray), giving the first protein structure by NMR in Biogen in at least four years.
