I am a creative writer. Lit Riot Press published my debut full-length poetry collection La Doña La Llorona in May, 2016. Additionally, they have agreed to publish two more collections this fall: Operational Terms and Graphics, and Flying Over Baghdad with Sylvia Plath. I love to address the personal connections people have with historical events, enabling me to extend my physical reach to family experiences as distant as MacArthur's attack on The Bonus Army and The Labor Day Hurricane of 1935. In addition to writing poetry, I also compose critical essays and poetry book reviews focusing exclusively on the work of North American women writers, identifying threads, influences, and the lineage of feminism in their poetics. I also contribute these reviews to various literature publications. am an experienced career counselor, assisting transitioning servicemen and women as they enter civilian life. I help write and edit resumes, cover letters, and curriculum vitae as necessary. I provide clients with network contacts for potential employment, as well as suitable examples of integrated military experience for private sector and federal government employment applications. I review individual transition plans, gap analysis worksheets, and MOS Crosswalk applications to ensure my clients enter the job market confidently, as viable, competitive candidates for whichever careers they wish to pursue. I also provide editing and technical assistance in the composition and dissemination, both internal and external, of a wide variety of memorandums, policies, letters, reports, and other documents. I accurately track projects, report and track projects, and keep ahead of a myriad of demanding tasks, prioritizing them in accordance with an understanding of the mission and intent of my supervisor and company.
