When Paul visited LA Children’s hospital in 2008, he spent time with kids facing isolation because of treatment from their illnesses. Since retiring from basketball, Paul has been board chair of fundraising and development at Fleece & Thank You. F&TY brings opportunity to individuals and corporations to make blankets for kids staying at least 1 night in Michigan Hospitals. EVERY child will receive and blanket that has a video message from the maker & then the child can send a video back. Our goal is 30,000 a year. Sept 21st, 2019 Fleece & Thank You along with the community of Rochester Hills, MI set a Guinness World Record for no-sew, tie blankets made at 2,016 in 8 hours.
