About Paul Croft - Forensic Accountant

Litigation is expensive. It is stressful, highly charged, emotionally and mentally draining. Rarely straightforward, litigation consumes a lot of energy and resources that can be used more productively elsewhere. Specialising in forensic accounting, clients choose to work with me because I understand those pressures and can mitigate those frictions. Approaching issues from the litigant's perspective, I deliver reports that communicate solutions to highly technical and complex accounting problems in easy-to-understand language; reports that are accurate, timely and cost-effective. I have given oral evidence most recently in the Victorian Supreme Court, as well as matters in the the NSW Supreme and District Courts. My independent and consulting expert witness, and expert determiner services include quantifying damages and/or opining on matters involving breaches of contract, the Corporations, and Competition and Consumer Acts, insolvent trading and other financial investigations, business interruption, post-acquisition and intellectual property disputes. How am I different?Over my 25-year career, including over 10 years in forensic accounting, I’ve honed my problem-solving skills working at some of Australia’s most reputable organisations. Having worked as an external adviser, as well as onsite with corporate clients, I have the unique ability of being able to identify potential problems quickly and see beyond the technical. Thinking like a manager within a business, I design solutions that align with how the business is operated. This gives client’s peace of mind and allows them to focus on their business without having to worry about issues that distract them from their business priorities. When I’m not helping clients, you’ll find me at the gym, cycling or enjoying the theatre. I also love movies (especially the Scandi and French Film festivals), deejaying and making music podcasts. How can I help?Investing in a forensic accountant in the early stage of litigation informs your legal strategy, helps you better manage expectations, and ultimately, saves you time and money. If you need a forensic accountant who can ✔ Solve your problem by combining data analytics and financial modelling✔ Confidently present and stand-by a robust solution under scrutiny,I’d be happy to help. You can contact me on +61 456 818 016.
