Project Manager (Contract)Pfizer Aug 2003 - Feb 2004New York, New York, UsWas contracted to Wyeth Medica ( now Pfizer ) to manage the rollout of 750 Desktops across the entire site. Worked closely with the internal IT department on the final stages of a server Deployment - 20 servers & then led a team of resource engineers rolling out the desktops with a standard Image. The desktops were Ghosted in the Configuration Centre in DSS, the existing data on the current machines had to be copied across the LAN to the new systems and the old Desktops had to be sorted and the hard drives were all removed to have the sensitive data destroyed. There was a tight deadline associated with this project and required long work days to complete. I brought the project to completion ahead of schedule. -

I was the Technical Account Manager (TAM) for their single largest account ( Microsoft ) During this period - I was appointed the Project Leader for Microsoft's Datacentre Relocation which involved the relocation of approximately 280 servers in several Datacentre locations around Dublin to a new site in CityWest. I liased with the Project Engineers in Microsoft directly and with the Third-party contractors who were handling the physical transportation of the equipment between sites. I also headed up the team of engineers provided by DSS to Microsoft for the duration of the project. My duties at this time also grew to include being the Senior QA engineer for the Server Configuration Centre. This involved ensuring that the high-standards within the SCC were being maintained and that there were two independant QA checks on each server that was built in the configuration centre. There was a sizeable amount of mentoring & instruction given to the Build Engineers. -
