Responsible for the investigation and analysis of abuse and security issues relating to the Virgin Media network Duties include:-Incident response for security and abuse incidents-Driving down customer home device malware infection rates and the promotion of best practice email security precautions through mass automated customer education communications, maximising efficacy & penetration of communications to customers-Gathering intelligence on emerging security threats likely to impact customers -Drive Internet Security best practice across VM and throughout Liberty Global. Work in close partnership with our central Internet Security partners in Amsterdam-Ensure that security trends and intel are clearly communicated so Stakeholders are aware of the latest threats and vulnerabilities and the remedial action we are taking to combat it-Dealing with abuse reports quickly, courteously and efficiently in line with departmental standards, policies and procedures to ensure that all department service levels and key performance indicators are met-Monitor customer communication channels and prioritise workload. This role is a 2nd line security role. Provide agent education through processes and articles to enable Customer Care to manage inbound and outbound phone based queries-Representing the team in a professional, courteous and knowledgeable manner at all times when dealing with colleagues, stakeholders & customers-Assisting with the team's 24-hour on-call rota for all out-of-hours high priority cases (major impact, life-at-risk etc.)-Ensure that our email platform security posture is robust, monitored, and developed and to assure that abuse of the platform of any type is addressed immediately. Support the Senior product management team in the continual development of medium and long term strategy-Maintaining excellent working knowledge of the responsibilities of both the Abuse Desk and Email Security.
