I have a passion for ideas, the people behind them, and finding ways to make them real. Essentially everything I've done, going all the way back to the lemonade stand I ran at age 6, is consistent with the short declaration above. I am looking forward to committing the rest of my career to the same zeal for innovation and entrepreneurship I had as a kid.

Kate is a whiskey for all. Everyone has a seat at the table here. Pull up a chair of your own and check us out at www.BigNoseKateWhiskey.com. The story is super interesting, and the whiskey is just as delicious.I am grateful to my cofounding partners Kevin Burke and Melissa Heim, as well as our Chief Whiskey Drinkers Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone, the rest of our awesome team and investors, and so many others making this go.Postscript: Kate was not called "Big Nose" because of a physical feature. She was an enterpriser who had an incredible "nose" for opportunity. Same as our team today, and it has been very fun watching this brand gain traction. Cheers! Show less -

Our method of infusing the power of story directly into the front end of the new product concept development process, for example, was and remains a novel and provocative way to help create what's next. We did some cool work and it was an honor to have collaborated with so many incredibly talented creative people. Show less -
Independent Opportunist And Adventurer-- 2010 - 2011Chicago, IlAfter River West, I took some time off to smell the roses (literally; we had a little deck on the roof of our condo and grew roses in containers up there). I'm particularly proud of being part of the team that helped create the Angel's Envy brown spirits brand, and ultimately the company that launched it. I also advised a prominent family office on the acquisition and subsequent relaunch of a famous old consumer product brand. A significant portion of this work was done at home, in my pajamas. Then one day my wife told me it would be good if I got out of the house more. I said, "okay, fine"... and went on down the road to Leo Burnett. But it was fun. Show less
