As one of the co-founders, none of us are currently taking a salary as we are focused on expanding our reach and allowing travelers to have more options for impactful and unique travel experiences.

Kiva Zip is a ground-breaking pilot program that enables direct person-to-person lending for the first time on Kiva.Kiva Zip is an experimental site to look at various ways to increase the borrower-lender connection (mobile repayments, SMS communications from borrowers to lenders, borrower-portals, etc), bypassing the traditional MFI model. The learnings from this experiment will get rolled back into Kiva's main site when this pilot ends.

I work on the Lender Tools team at microfinance giant, Kiva.org, developing features to make it easier for lenders to lend money to the working poor throughout the world.

Design, develop and deploy the leading remote ordering solution for wholesale food distributor sales reps, DSMs, and restaurant owners to place orders and manage customers. I also led focus groups, webinars, sales demos, taught classes and manned booth at user conferences. My focus was always on increasing the usability of the product by communicating with the users to understand their needs.

Designed, developed, deployed as sole Windows developer:1) CylTrack: Gas cylinder tracking software using RFID tags, targeted mostly at the welding industry. Reporting allowed for $100K and more judgments against customers who lost cylinders or returned gas cylinders from other vendors.2) HayTrack: Using barcodes, tracked the process from planting seed types through harvest, measuring various metrics at different points throughout the process to estimate eventual field yield.3) JewelryTrack: Using RFID bracelets on employees and merchandise, display cases were set to recognize every item removed and replaced and which employee did it, setting off alarms if items were removed without a proper employee bracelet associated. Employee theft is the greatest cause of inventory loss for jewelry stores.

Developed Laboratory and Hospital Information Systems for small to medium hospitals. (They have since been bought by American Health Net)
