Responsible for the Scheduling and Planning of Finished Goods and Components in the Milwaukie, OR Hydraulic Tools manufacturing operation. • Schedule, plan, and manage inventory of assigned product lines, sub-assemblies, and machined components to minimize inventory (measured in DSI) and maximize OTD above 95%.• Manage the inventory performance of assigned product lines/components, including order point/lot size maintenance, purchase backlog management, inventory accuracy improvement, and disposition/execution of excess/obsolete inventory. Work to identify and apply best in class practices to improve planning processes and daily execution of the workload.• Execute daily workload as required in real-time ERP/MRP software, including review and release of orders per Planner Worksheet, release, and placement of purchase orders. Perform all necessary system transactions based on production requirements.• Schedule assembly and Machine Shop jobs based on planning parameters and sales order requirements. This would include printing orders, prioritizing production based on requirements, and communicating production needs as required with production staff, supervisors, and managers.• Collaborate with Customer Service on scheduling and prioritizing of customer orders. Manage product lead times while ensuring level loaded production. Collaborate with Operations Supervisors, Production Leads, and others to manage capacity requirements.• Support other production, planning, and reporting activities as directed by manager.• Support the implementation of Lean principles in the Milwaukie operation, including the elimination of waste in the planning and purchasing functions, using tools such as Kaizen, and supporting all Lean implementation activities plant-wide.• Participate and represent Operations team in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process – demand and supply planning.
