I started my photography career when I was 12 or 13 years old. I asked my Mom, who was also the family photographer, if I could use her Brownie to take some pictures. She showed me how to work it and I was hooked. The most wonderful thing about this was that she was never critical of the silly images that came back from the developer. But I was learning, and she knew that.Move forward more than just a few years and my husband bought me my first Nikon. Holy cow! All those early images paid off and I am now a successful photographic artist. I have shared a few images on my profile, and will continue to add more.In 2009 we were living in Houston, and searching for a large piece of art for over the fireplace. Couldn't find anything big enough or what we liked. So my husband told me to buy the biggest canvas I could find and paint something. So I did. And, boy, was I hooked! My fine art career has taken off from there!I hope you enjoy what you see from endeavors. And, perhaps, will be inclined to purchased a piece, or two.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the Fine Arts League of Cary. I've made friends with many of the artists and have found their stories to be most exciting. I served as President for 7 years, and as Chairman of the Board for 2-1/2 years. But it is time to move on and devote my time to my own art.

The Fine Arts League of Cary is one of the biggest non-profit art leagues in the area. FALC has 14 venues around Cary where our members hang their art for sale, some of them are solo shows, and others are for any and all members. We also have Monthly Member meetings that are free to the public and are held on the 4th Thursday of each month. Art educators, fellow artists, and creative people of all kinds present a topic of their choice.We also have a group on LinkedIn and invite participation from anyone.
