IMS Research was acquired by IHS Inc (NYSE: IHS) in March, 2012. As a Senior Research and Operations Manager, I was responsible for setting the strategic direction of four research teams that conducted market research in the fields of video surveillance, access control, fire & security, utilities and critical infrastructure. I also took on an extended role with added responsibility for analyst and manager training workshops and the coordination of a mentoring program for analysts and managers to enable the sharing of best practices between research groups. In this role I was also heavily involved with the recruitment of analysts and managers for the Austin, TX office.

Having relocated to Austin, TX with a promotion to Research Manager I was tasked with creating a new research team focused on the Access Control, Fire and Security industry. In this role I developed and executed key marketing strategies to maintain and build a global customer base. I also created goals and key result areas (KRAs) for individual analysts to maintain career progression and performance. While managing the Access Control, Fire and Security Group at IMS Research, I also took on the role of Research Manager for a new research group focused on Process Instrumentation equipment.
