After completing the first phase of a business transformation initiative as Senior Vice President of Health System Optimization for ProMedica Health System; Mr. Favorite has returned to Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick as Chief Operating Officer. Paul W. Favorite joined Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick in January 2004 as the firm's Chief Operating Officer. Reporting to the Chairman of the firm's Management Committee, Mr Favorite is responsible for facilitating all strategic, policy and operational initiatives for the firm across all offices. These include, but are not limited to: human resource, recruitment, technology, risk management, insurance, operations, finance, marketing, space planning and geographic expansion. Mr Favorite also served as Chairman of the firm's Pension Committee. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and has participated in Executive Education, Leadership and Quality Certificate Programs at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan; Disney University, Lake Buena Vista, Florida and Florida Power and Light's Malcolm Baldrige Program and became a Baldrige examiner in 2018.He is a 20 under 40 award recipient, Leadership Toledo Graduate and was named Volunteer of the year by the Northwest Ohio Chapter of the March of Dimes and is a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary.Prior to joining Shumaker, Mr Favorite worked for eighteen years with ProMedica Health System, Toledo, Ohio, where he was Vice President of Operations for ProMedica Physician Group (PPG).
