RF Engineer member of the TX (Radio Frequency Transmitter) development team. Worked on BlackBerry's next generation handset devices, and automotive Tier 1 solutions for Ford Motor Company.

• RF design engineer member of the team responsible for the Radio Frequency (RF) design and verification of wireless mobile devices covering the GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, LTE, GPS, and GLONASS technologies. Blackberry Products (8520, 9300, 9800, 9810, 9220, 9315, 9320, PRIV 2015-16)• Experienced in optimizing layout and schematics to maximize WCDMA / LTE TX power without sacrificing overall performance, and to minimize radiated desense (EMI) in the 2G and 3G frequency bands. Evaluated and characterized components such as PAs (Power amplifiers), duplexers, filters, and matching circuits to verify that the system performed per industry standards (3GPP). • RF GPS/GLONASS Receiver – Led the GPS schematic, PCB layout design, and evaluation of different products. Optimized the layout and schematics to minimize desense in the system. • Defined RF conducted and radiated hardware verification test plans and reports, developed RF verification test setups, and ensured the RF design was compliant as per the physical layer standards (ETSI, 3GPP) using various vendor’s test equipment configurations (Agilent 8960 and GS8800, Rohde & Schwarz CMU200/CMW500, Spirent GSS6700).• Experienced with chipsets from Qualcomm, Marvell, Renesas, Infineon, and CSR SiRF.• Worked closely with other key hardware teams including architecture, baseband, audio, display, camera, ESD, antenna, and power management to ensure the platform reference designs were successfully integrated into the handheld devices.• Participated in and/or lead system design, technical documentation, and test verification reviews. Interfaced regularly with other engineering groups and with external component suppliers.• Supervised and provided technical guidance and mentorship to over 10 hardware development interns.

• Responsible for the network’s Base Station hardware GPS solution and system’s frontend FPGA’s signal processing digital hardware designs to include Altera’s Stratix II and Cyclone II FPGA device series. Used design simulation tools such as Altera Quartus II, ModelSim 6.1g, and OrCAD to interface and validate functional correctness and design specification.• Responsible for the network’s Base Station power supply’s design, extreme temperature tests, DC voltage ripple noise tests to fit RF power signal’s integrity requirements, component and parts selection while keeping low costs, BOM, and designed specification documents.• Contributed to the overall development of system architecture and generation of hardware specifications according to the proprietary telecommunication system’s protocols.• Digital and RF Hardware validation, troubleshooting, and modification of prototype boards and handsets (RF transceiver, RF Power Amplifier, debug daughter and main boards).• Supported manufacturing with tests, calibration, and hardware nuances while maintain quality to ensure the product’s stability and testability of assembly.

• Supported engineers on the integration phase of Motorola’s hardware/software platform (Linux OS, Zeus Based, Phoenix II)• Test case creation, execution, matrices, and reports for iDEN cellular phones (Motorola iDEN i876). Benchmarked critical software parameters (e.g. Performance, Reliability, and Resource Consumption). Stress test automation using LabVIEW (Creation, execution and reporting).

• Developed new relationships in the local market for the introduction of various VoIP communication solutions while providing superior customer service and technical support. Managed the company’s website design, development, and affiliate digital and local marketing campaigns.
