Responsibilities include counseling on all legal matters; supervision of all matters sent to outside counsel; ensuring compliance on all matters affecting the company including: contract review and negotiation; distributor agreements; corporate entity creation and requirements; lien law compliance; bonding; Jessica Lunsford Act; OSHA; unemployment; labor law; public works bids and protests; trade secret and confidentiality; covenants not to compete; contract interference; and defamation. Primarily responsible for case development in a highly complex aviation products liability case against the airplane engine manufacturer and its related companies, the aircraft operator and various maintenance companies. Responsible for all discovery, document review and document organization, case theory development, and case strategy. Managed all document database, document imaging and also personally performed and provided oversight of all data entry to ensure every element was included. Responsible for the engine teardown, testing and analysis. Responsible for oversight of the engine/accident testing and study. Prepared for and defended depositions of plaintiffs’ experts in such varied technical disciplines as aircraft accident reconstruction, FAA regulations, aircraft engine design, metallurgy, fluid dynamics, and mechanical engineering. Prosecuted the depositions of defense experts, corporate representatives, and witnesses with various roles in the design, sales and marketing of the engines. Developed and successfully presented motion to add claim asserting punitive damages against engine manufacturer. Represented entities throughout the construction industry including suppliers, subcontractors, contractors, architects and owners. Hotel and Resort Developer, Owner and Operator. During design and construction of the Ritz-Carlton San Juan Hotel & Casino, owner's representative and manager of FF&E/OS&E purchasing and installation. Responsibilities included supervising and coordinating a team of representatives from Ritz Carlton, architect, interior designer, landscape designer, ownership/investors, and government officials. Development of design of beautiful and operationally functional and profitable resort property. Designed and implemented Standards of Operation for the selection, purchase, delivery and installation of Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E), and Operating Supplies and Equipment (OS&E). Responsible for the budgeting, accounting, supervision and control for all purchasing, delivery, installation, and inventory of $23 million in merchandise. Extensive development of Excel spreadsheets to manage and report on all phases of construction and acquisition.Project planning: Collaborated in the creation of project budgets, space allocation spreadsheets and presentation packages to banks, investors and government officials for new projects worldwide.
