As the Assistant Director of Communications for the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU), I am responsible for the coordination of staff, departmental information, vendors and the various communications mediums used to promote ATU internal messaging and campaigns throughout the United States and Canada.Having 27+ years experience in graphic design and production management with extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Master Collection and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), I have the ability to strategize, design, produce and manage all communications projects (print, web, video and event). This experience is key in being able to work closely with executive staff in order to make sure every project is on time and under budget.I have great experience in managing vendors (print & web) and clients (internal and external). This responsibility includes the coordination of estimates and production scheduling helped by a strong knowledge of print production (direct mail, ATU magazine and supporting campaign pieces). I am also responsible for event materials / staging (designed branding and staging for six International conventions), video production, social media sites / training and implementation of the AFL-CIO UnionHall website program in order to give ATU's locals and online presence.I have always worked well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and take pride in keeping current on ATU’s positions ranging from internal organizing to politics.

Responsibilities include: development, design and coordination of marketing materials for the corporation including advertisements, brochures, newsletters, reports, online publications, etc. Management of the print production process by obtaining bids for the specifications of the job to be printed, reviewing bluelines, and following jobs through the printing process. Design and manage the production of convention materials (booths, pop-up stands, brochures), advertising novelties and the printing of quarterly newsletters for the corporation.

Responsibilities include: develop, coordinate, execute, and evaluate specific marketing and communications projects, programs, and activities that are targeted to the marketing and brand-imaging of eight non-profit associations. Main efforts focus on the design, development and production of all publications and printed collateral for each association. Publications include magazines, newsletters, directories, membership information packets and all pieces associated with annual meetings and workshops. Coordination of printer bidding, proofing and delivery.
