Trusted with the exciting challenge of transforming & 'standing up' BLC's Global technology & innovation capabilities, infrastructure and processes, both internally & externally with 'open innovation' partners. This encompassed building & leading the case for change, enabling the transfer of technologies, know-how & expertise across Regionally biased Operating Divisions and involved the integration of a sizeable & scalable strategic acquisition based around 'added value' specialty ingredients. A key achievement was the recalibration & improvement to BLC's portfolio, engagement & standing with Key Global Customers in the Confectionery, Bakery, Culinary and Nutrition Categories.

• Held operational responsibility & strategic leadership for Mizkan Euro, a subsidiary of the Mizkan Group, working with the Board of Directors to establish long-range goals, strategies, business plans and policies. • Led a complex carve-out of from Premier Foods (Sarson’s, Haywards, and Branston brands) and migrated their systems and processes onto a new business platform encompassing a major ERP & several non-ERP implementation projects.• Recruited / on-boarded Senior Executives, Middle Management Team & other employees (80+) into a new Corporate Headquarters in Chiswick Park, London.• Developed long term strategic business planning for Mizkan Europe (£100m plus) aimed at re-energising Brand equity & Product Categories to establish market leadership.

• A key member of the senior leadership team that created the foundations for Kerry’s Flavour capabilities from the origins of Mastertaste BU in 2003 through direct involvements in 7 acquisitions & subsequent integrations in the US (3), Italy (2), UK (1), South Africa (1), culminating in Cargill Flavours in Grasse, France in 2012.• Oversight for a broad portfolio of technologies and product groups, initially in the US and latterly in EMEA, with responsibilities for managing distinct Individual Business Units, Manufacturing Operations and R&D centres in each geography as listed above.• Developed and strengthened existing customer relationships while implementing an integrated solutions driven approach. • Built strong industry networks and alliances to support growth initiatives and the successful acquisition of targeted companies. • Overall commercial responsibility for the Beverage Market in EMEA which included driving new business development opportunities in emerging markets including Russia, Middle East and Africa.• Executed a business transformation change process for 250+ employees.

• Built a leadership position in UK Private Label Chilled Ready Meals through implementing strategic business plans and initiatives with Key Retail Partners including Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury & Waitrose.• Direct involvement in the integration of several UK branded acquisitions in chilled meats & savoury pastry (Robirch, Millers, Mattessons, Walls)• Relaunched Greens & Homepride Brands (acquired from Dalgety) in the Home Baking categories and achieved record sales in key Export Markets in the Middle East.• Responsible for the identification & evaluation of acquisition targets in Central Europe as part of a business development expansion strategy.• Financial controller for Van Sales distribution businesses in both Ireland & the UK.
