Design Services Project lead

Section lead to Supplier Development Engineering (SDE) team.The SDE team is part of the Global Supplier Alliance (GSA) division.My primary responsibility is managing an international team of Engineers focused on developing and maintaining the quality, efficiency, performance & delivery of ResMed’s suppliers. Used Agile project management techniques to manage teams workload. I have acted as SME for the GSA team in a Medical Device Single Audit Program (MDSAP).

My primary goal is to work with ResMed's suppliers to develop, improve and approve supplier's processes. I also worked with suppliers to investigate, resolve and prevent supplier related manufacturing issues.I acted as the manufacturing representative for new product development project (all parts and assemblies made at suppliers)As part of this role I managed and mentored new engineers

I worked as a Design Engineer with ResMed on several new products and platforms.I have been heavily involved in new technologies, designs & processes.As part of a new project platform I worked on concept design and technology development.I worked on the AirFit N10 team I was involved in the frame development and packaging design along with several other systems responsibilities including sub system specs and risk assessments.My initial role was with the enhancements team where I worked on and managed several shorter projects where I acted as a designer, supplier liaison & project manager. I was also delegate section leader while on this team.I have also acted as a CI champion, a test design/simulation SME and a confluence leader. My primarily responsibilities were:- Concept design- Concept development- Problem solving- System engineering- Risk assessment- Mentoring- Part acceptance- 3D modelling

R&D engineer focused primarily on design and bringing a concept through the product development process. I was a design lead on several product development projects including the new Shiley Pediatric & Neonatal tracheostomy tubes. My primarily responsibilities were:- Product design- Concept modeling- Specification generation- Risk assessment- Testing- Working with external design and test houses- Working with global and cross functional teams

I worked with Vistakon in their limerick plant during the summer after the third year of my under graduate engineering degree. I worked at the last stage (sterilization and packaging) of a fully automated line that manufactured, packaged and sterilized disposable contact lenses.
