As part of senior leadership team for this $2.5B FinTech business unit that sold data, content, and analytics to the financial services community, I developed growth strategies and identified, originated, and executed acquisitions and divestments to support those strategies globally. Over my tenure, I completed acquisitions and investments of more than $400 million.Selected projects included: • Developed and executed the investment thesis for the rollup of specialized content & analytics providers, resulting in the highest ROI business in the Investors portfolio. • Performed due diligence, valuation, financial modeling, and integration planning for key acquisitions including Zawya, a leading portal for new and financial analysis in the Middle East, and SCSK Corp., the leading Japanese retail online wealth management business. • Identified non-core businesses for divestment to OMX Group, a $390M sale that far exceeded initial expectations.

I was a founding member of the Principal Transactions Group that invested and managed the company’s private investments in North America. In this role, I helped establish the group’s asset management platform, which was used to monitor, influence, and improve portfolio performance. I also provided expertise throughout the entire M&A process, including deal origination, due diligence, financial modeling, debt & equity financing, and negotiation. • Assumed responsibility for a distressed portfolio of aerospace businesses, at the height of financial crisis; arranged credit tenant loan financing to pay down and restructure a senior loan facility that was in default. • Served as Board Member & Asset Manager for a $100M aerospace rollup of 3 portfolio companies. • Executed sale of the largest hangar of Aviation Technical Services (ATS) to Boeing for $100M, and the subsequent sale of its MRO business at 1.5x ROI and 3x return on carrying value. • Implemented margin improvement, cost savings, and profit enhancement initiatives that captured $5M in annual cost savings at ATS. • Managed $635M acquisition of one of the largest private oilfield services companies in the U.S, including due diligence, valuation, financial modeling, and LBO debt financing. • Assembled team that collected $30M in outstanding account receivables at the height of the financial crisis.

Initially, I came on board as a member of the Infrastructure team in Melbourne, Australia. I then transferred to New York to help build and execute the company’s global growth strategy. This involved leading transactions to increase business and grow the footprint in the U.S. market. I also mentored analysts and associates in various elements of the deal cycle. • Advised Bilfinger Berger on successful A$307M bid to build, own, and operate a Greenfield hospital. • Helped form consortium led by Macquarie’s listed utilities & energy investments and key pipeline shippers for the A$1.85B acquisition and commercialization of a high-pressure gas pipeline out of bankruptcy.
