As a consultant to a large west coast company, created several reports and dashboards using Cognos, SQL, Oracle Stored procedures. This included an anomaly detection program/report. The result was a reduction in problem resolution time and enabled improved capacity planning. The success brought in several contract renewals and over 1M in revenue to IBM. As part of large team developed Oracle Stored Procedures to read performance data from an Oracle DB and select which compute node a new server would be placed. This was critical in order to deliver fast service for new servers within their cloud. • East coast bank: Created Perl scripts to load balance ITM servers and dynamically reconfigure ITM agents to connect to correct server. This allowed for an architecture with fewer servers and reduced manual tasks• Midwest manufacturing company: Created an application using VB.net, DB2, and ITM to monitor 600 applications. This reduced problem resolution time by several hours. It also led to several contract renewals and generating over 2M in consulting revenue for IBM.

Stepped up and became an IBM Certified Solutions Expert in MQSeries. Led 30 successful POC’s for Candle’s new MQSeries management tools. This helped Candle become the market leader in MQSeries. Worked with sales teams on 50+ sales projects. Requirements gathering, needs analysis and technical presentations. Created a queuing model and discrete event simulation to simulate the AAA Emergency Road Service and Travel hotlines. This was used by the field to for staffing. It resulted in 95% of customer calls being on hold under 4 mins. This reduced cost while increasing customer satisfaction. Reduced the mainframe IMS online systems CPU usage by 30%. This delayed a mainframe upgrade by a year for a 1M savings.
