Screen Northants was established to:- Redress the balance of limited opportunities within the Film Industry, which can be due to socio-economic and geographical factors- Tackle feelings of disenfranchisement, disengagement and poor social mobility locally, by providing free, professional Film Industry experience- Create new educational pathways and curriculum enrichment schemes, which develop the next generation of Film Industry professional- Ensure the talented and passionate are not excluded because they are not financially lucky enough to be able to move to London and offer their time for free- Develop an internationally-recognised film production studio and make Northamptonshire a legitimate destination for Film and TV Production.

Far Horizon Films, Independent film and video production companyFar Horizon Films was set up to deal with both the commercial/corporate video work that I was being offered after I resigned from the British Youth Film Academy and as a place to develop feature and short film projects. A live event video of a 4 hour Zumbathon.I have also co-written and produced “The Yellow Wallpaper”. A 30-minute psychological thriller based on the short story of the same name by Charlotte Perkins Gilman.Far Horizon Films has a number of projects in development including its first feature film.“Home”, is the story of Jack, a young criminal with an unhealthy obsession with violence, who has left the life, family and home he loves in order to protect them from his destructive nature. The aim of the British Youth Film Academy was to provide film training and work experience to 14-21 Year-olds who, because of economic or geographical factors, would usually not have access to these opportunities. My main responsibility with the BYFA was securing new partners and revenue through the creation and development of the regional Academies, throughout the North West and Midlands. During my four-year employment with BYFA, the academies were expanded from three partner institutions to 15 Further Education colleges as well as both Staffordshire University and Manchester Metropolitan University. Alongside this was the securement of sponsorship from the Cooperative’s Ethical Development Department. Other responsibilities included the planning, budgeting and delivery of a number of five-week residential summer camps with upwards of 200 people (most aged 14-19) in attendance at any one time. For many of the students in attendance it was their first time away from their parents and my responsibility to ensure their safety, development and enjoyment.Last but not least, I Produced a number of the Micro Budget feature film’s, that followed professional industry standards and guidelines and often involved students as young as 14.
