This community is the first of its kind and provides InterSystem's clients with direct access to internal product managers and product development teams. I acted as the Product Manager and Development manager for this project, utilizing both internal and external technical resources to continually improve the community over a period of months. The online community was launched worldwide and was immediately successful with rapid growth each month after release.I participated in other teams focused on improving processes and internal communications and with this helped promote the use of Confluence and JIRA in a number of departments that benefited from a more formal, but flexible, business workflow.Additionally, I helped modernize and improve the look and feel of online product documentation at InterSystems by designing and launching a new user interface with full mobile support and enhanced search capabilities. -
Chief Technology OfficerEnerpath (Acquired By Lime Energy) Jun 2009 - Oct 2015EnerPath implemented high-volume energy efficiency programs for utility companies and performed tens of thousands of energy assessments each year for small and medium-size businesses serviced by these utilities.I bootstrapped the creation of Product Management, Software Development and IT Operations teams within EnerPath where none had existed before. This involved opening the office in Cambridge and hiring internal and external teams to support legacy software applications and clients while at the same time developing new products and services.I led the team that created an entirely new software suite that runs and manages more than $35M in energy efficiency programs for multiple utility clients nationally. The software suite uses a flexible database, service architecture and workflow, allowing multiple utility programs to be supported on the same code base despite differences in program design. The software suite includes iPad mobile applications for managing prospects, performing energy assessments, analyzing existing conditions and making energy-efficient recommendations, tools for closing the sale and capturing payment terms, as well as back-office applications for managing the implementation of these energy-savings measures at the end-customer’s site and then tools for the quality verification, reporting and analysis of program performance.As CTO I took on many roles including product manager, software architect, technical evangelist and DBA. I personally designed key elements of the system, including the underlying object models, the physical database and the engine driving the energy efficiency assessments and recommendation generation. Lime Energy purchased EnerPath in March 2015.
