Berg designs and manufactures remote site shelters primarily based on ISO shipping containers. Our camps are used worldwide by military and commercial customers. My function at Berg is to be the technical representative for assigned projects. Roles include attending interdepartmental meetings, planning technical milestones, engineer and design solutions to customer's specifications. I will assign tasks to drafters to release drawing to the shop with a strict eye to following our company's processes. I am often in contact with our customers and vendors to provide clarification and make decisions as necessary. Traveling is an occasional requirement in my position. I have made multiple trips to one of our large suppliers in Mexico to meet with their engineers and production team. In support of our products; I will travel to the customers location to attend planning meetings for new systems, to unveil our completed shelters, or be the technical representative during testing operations. Sites have varied from the Army Reserve post at the Port of Tacoma to Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland. Within Berg's Engineering department, I am the resident expert on our TRICON and BICON shelters, responsible for obtaining CSC certifications for all platforms that require it, and assist in the administration of our Enterprise PDM system.
