As a member of the Pokemon Company Internationals technology team, I am driving the testing of platform services for new products. I have developed testing frameworks in Python for account and user storage services that integrate with an SSO solution, including performance and stress harnesses deployed in AWS. I have worked to improve the CI/CD process for services that I work on. I work with the development team to provide tools that make testing of new code simple and routine. I have also worked to create new solutions for tournament broadcasts on services like Twitch.

Greater Seattle Area

Designed and developed tests for a model based Knowledge Platform written in Scala, javascript, Python and C++.- Worked with the core engineering team to design tests formed around sample data sets thatdemonstrated the platform capabilities. REST Interface testing using Python and Postman as well as ScalaTest and JMeter. Create acquisition and ingestion scripts that were central to the BVT strategy for test data sets, automating the deployment process in Ansible, and working to make TeamCity and Bamboo deployable artifacts in Gradle and SBT.- Owned the development and distribution of the SDK including documentation, code samples, data set samples and tools. Worked with technical leads and technical writers to insure the accuracy of all documentation. Wrote verification of documentation distributed as PDF, Markdown and automatic documentation creation for REST services using Swagger.- Created tools for the core platform to save engineering hours. Tools developed included a CLI for the platform written in Scala which was written to production code standards and was used as the basis of other tools. The CLI was implemented interfacing with the REST interface.- Evaluated migration of graph storage from HBase to Cassandra. Wrote tests in Scalatest to verify that graph functionality was consistent and performant regardless of backing storage.

At Yuzu I helped drive technical testing direction for a javascript based EPUB and PDF rendering engine. This included the development and maintenance of a web based testing portal that allowed both developers and testers to examine and debug new API's as they were implemented. In the process we streamlined the bug reporting process and made it easier to report and resolve issues. Working in a highly agile manor we also created test apps for Windows, iOS and Android to be able to quickly examine and debug issues in the engine on various platforms.

Microsoft Studios

I owned the testing of all web services for Microsoft Flight, a free to play online flight simulator. This included test planning, test design and execution, test reporting as well as deployment planning and coordination. I also coordinated multiplayer testing with Microsoft Studios shared test resources, removing the burden from the development team while reducing the cost

At Playdom, which was acquired by Disney Interactive, I created tools and processes to assist the development team in the conception, creation, release, and maintenance of social networking games. These include developing and managing build and deployment systems, content pipelines, content management systems. I also implemented QA processes including test casing, test case management, test pass development, offsite QA management and bug triage which resulted in higher quality products at a reduced cost.

I was part of Microsoft Game Studios for 10 years and held various roles. Some of the highlights:I led a team of FTE and CSG to drive the technical testing of Primetime titles, including 1 vs100 Live. This included test tool development, data analysis tool development and production error investigations.I provided testing expertise to internal Microsoft studios as a test lead for the Internal Studio Test Team. Owned the relationships for ACES Studio during development of Flight Simulator X and the relationship with Bungie during development of Halo 3. I was a multiplayer test expert for multiple titles examining network performance, gameplay, balance and performance testing.I coordinated certification testing as well as multiplayer test passes. On Crimson Skies: High road to Revenge I worked with PM to create a TCR compliant Xbox Live experience that became the template for MGS and external Xbox titles. I also drove the release of DLC for Crimson Skies.

Prior to joining Microsoft Game Studios I was an Software Test engineer in Office. During that time I owned the testing of the office assistant and the help pane for Office 2000. I also drove configuration and compatibility testing for shared office features. I was responsible for planning testing for Office on the Web services for Office XP. I also automated acceptance and BVT tests for Office core feature sets.
