As Tesco implements Europe’s largest Oracle Fusion (SaaS) implementation, I supported the creation of the Finance Global Process Owner function with effective process governance and control to daily operations as well as supporting both SaaS mandatory updates and the global finance change agenda, impacting across UK, ROI, Asia, Central Europe and Shared Services in India.In order to successfully support Tesco to mobilise a global function from scratch required defining clarity on the future operating model, strong enabling leadership, collaboration across functions and progressive results, skills I am grateful to have from my years of transformational leadership.

In this role I was the Consulting Director, leading a Foods change portfolio. Ultimately I controlled the delivery of a 2 year, multi-million pound (I can`t put actual figures on LinkedIn) transformational change portfolio; delivering multi-million pound benefit to the company.This role focussed on providing expertise in the development of a strategic vision for delivering improvement (within Supply Chain and Logistics) for the company; developing key strategies that could be measured against specific targets. Additionally, I supported, trained and advised senior managers; creating forecasting processes alongside cross-functional project planning, & budgeting processes. I completed a detailed needs analysis and translated core findings into the core business improvement projects/initiative; providing strategic advice and direction regarding related operations. Over the term of delivery I Project managed multiple process and systems changes; working closely with key stakeholders throughout to document and help them understand progress as we made it.

Again, in this role I initially assessed `current practice` and then responded to what I found; changing systems and processes and re-structuring as required to transform related areas of performance. As such, I provided a strategic vision going forward and `hands on`, day to day leadership and management. I liaised as necessary with all parties, including senior level stakeholders and ultimately delivered enhancements that made a substantive difference. I had Key accountability for the shared Services IT development of the Pension system. I introduced clear application ownership, sponsorship and governance to prioritise IT development requirements from internal customers, most notably for Oracle HRMS and Financials. Additionally I wrote the business case financials to consider cloud based solutions total cost of ownership, compared to the incumbent on premise methodology for the Finance and HR solutions.
