Supplying accounting software solutions to SME’s. As a software support consultant my duties are to install, give initial training, advice and support via telephone and site visits of Pegasus Opera II, CIS and XRL. I also create reports for Opera & CIS using XRL and Crystal Reports.Training and support was supplied to Commercial clients in the use of MS Office and Pegasus products. This training was done both at our own centre and at clients bases.

Mitre Court Training Services are the adult training arm of Bradford Council. The target clients were unemployed, job seekers and those with individual training needs dictated by their personal circumstances. Mainly invovleved in helping clients to gain employment skills and helping with various softskills (work behaviour, equality and basic skills)A commercial evening class was also run at the centre, catering to SME companies wishing to upgrade the skills of their employees. As a lead member of the training team, I was involved in the strategic management of the ICT provision and in the day-to-day operations of the training centre. I the introduced and developed new courses as well as the implementing tutor led and CBT training (New CLAIT, CLAIT Plus, NVQ Using IT, NVQ Installing IT and ECDL). I was responsible for the delivery of training to individuals and small groups (20 Desk side, 9 Classroom) and creation of individual learning plans, learner reviews, goal setting and tutoring/coaching. I also delt with registration and administration of examinations written and online. A key role as a trainer is the setting of goals and marking of work.

Installation / Support of hardware and software as stand alones' and onto a Novell network. Providing technical support to staff and students using PC's and Apple Macintosh (System 7). Part-Time lecturing in IT from GNVQ to Bachelor Arts. I have created two access databases for the department one to keep track of address of students and a library for software manuals.

Producing a newsletter for the Centre and helping Mexborough Youth Club leader with his computing needs.

In charge of PC's and peripherals. Also installing new programs onto computers. Training people on Employment Training in the use of computers in work situations. The design of spreadsheets, databases, and documents for both trainees and company.
