I managed data extraction, data processing and overall research and deliverable development across the Simulation Science and Future Health Scenarios teams at IHME. Specifically, I supervised data analysts, aid in priority management through managing JIRA boards, daily stand-ups meetings and weekly one-on-one and research team meetings, facilitated communication across each research and engineering team, organized team building activities, as well as coordinated the delivery of timeline, high-quality, and policy relevant results to our clients and the dissemination of our work in scientific journal articles.

I worked with a team of researchers and data professionals on the Local Burden of Disease (Geospatial) diarrhea and lower respiratory infections team. Specifically, I worked on extracting and collating data from multiple sources (household surveys, censuses, reports) for input into models that map under-5 diarrheal disease, use of oral rehydration therapy and access to improved water and sanitation facilities at a high spatial resolution across many low- and middle-income countries. Specific Tasks and Roles:- Explored, extracted, cleaned, and vetted data using STATA and R- Prepared data summaries and visualizations using R to present in weekly team meetings- Created documentation of team processes, improved practices and helped train new employees- Contributed to work published in journals such as The Lancet and Nature- Contributed to meetings with stakeholders- Technical mentor for a new colleague- Managed the supplementary appendices of 3 scientific journal articles submitted in tandem

Supported a doctor at his private practice by answering phone calls, greeting and scheduling patients, intake of new patients, medical chart organization and filing, insurance confirmation and medical records requests.

Supported multiple recruitment teams as the first point of contact for prospective job candidates, coordinated a high volume of phone and in-house interviews across varying time zones often involving conference bridges and video conferencing, planned large group interview sessions, escorted candidates to in-house interviews and created a how-to document for the team I remotely supported for the incoming coordinator to utilize when training.
