I have been handling mainly people and cargo related claims. Since our office in Helsinki has a small claims team, I have also had the possibility to handle some Hull and Machinery claims. Our team also holds presentations to members regarding the P&I, Defence and H&M matters which members find they would like to hear more about.

Transfennica Logistics BVBA offers door-to-door transport solutions and is part of the Spliethoff Group. The focus is on import from the Benelux-countries, and the surrounding areas in France and Germany, with growing export opportunities from Finland to the same areas. Imports and exports from the UK play a small role in the operations.My tasks include import order processing and follow up of the deliveries, as well as the communication towards Finnish sub-contractors. I am the account manager in Finland for Samsonite and TATA Steel. I also handle small groupage export orders, claims and the UK imports as a whole.I've been able to improve on my communication skills in this position, and as I've also had the opportunity to be more involved within sales, it has given me more insights in the sales process. I'm our main user in Helsinki of our current IT system, my tasks include instructing and assisting the others in the use of the program. I am also the publicist for the Helsinki office, making sure our other offices are aware of different changes in traffic and also communicating towards the customers important information about our operations.

Vanders is a new club that was formed in September 2014 by the merge of 3 clubs from Vantaa (Vantaan Uimarit, Vantaan Vesikot and Poseidon).Previously instructor/coach for:Technique courses for all ages (kids and adults)Several different teams with junior swimmers on national level, ages 9-16As from 2010 part of my job in the swimming club Vantaan Uimarit also included invoicing and updating the member register and the webpage. Between 2009 and 2014, before the merge of 3 swimming clubs, I was the course administrator, taking care of planning and scheduling of all courses, also recruiting new coaches and teachers from old swimmers. After the merge, I took a step back and focused on coaching once again. I continued as a part of the course task force. During my time in the swimming club, I have also been involved in the planning and arranging of swimming competitions, and have been the announcer at several of these. During my years in the swimming club I’ve taken many different coaching courses, for different levels of coaching. I find that coaching and the courses have improved my ability to give feedback to different audiences, both young and old.

Previously Operations & Claims handler stand in.I started at Transfennica as a stand in during my studies. I worked as a traffic operator, the tasks included booking, invoicing and customer service.In the fall of 2013 the Claims department needed a stand in as well, and I had the opportunity to see another side of the company. The work included normal claims procedure of investigation and declining or accepting claims and seeing through the process. In the Fall 2014 I was employed full time as the traffic operator for the Hanko-Lübeck line. The work includes booking, invoicing and overall customer service. When needed I have also helped out our cost accounting department.During my time at the line I have had the opportunity to learn about different departments of the company as well as been able to improve my stress handling and communicaton skills toward customers. I've also had the chance to get insightsi in the maritime industry and its different stake holders.
