UNESCO City of Literature, iPhone and Mobile Application Development, Spring 2010In 2009, UNESCO named Iowa City the third city of literature in the world. As a response to this honor, the Virtual Writing University created an iPhone application that connects Iowa City's geographic locations with its literary heritage. As a member of the database development team, I participated in meetings with faculty and researchers to define the specifications of the database, created diagrams, mock-up websites, and a sql database to demonstrate the capabilities of the application. The final version of the application can be found in the Apple App store "UNESCO City of Literature."
