A registered architect (Massachusetts) with over 20 years of professional experience in practice stewardship, architectural practice and teaching in Canada and the United States. A recent arrival to Winnipeg, Pauline is currently employed with DIALOG as a Director and Associate.As Director of Practice Ecosystem, Pauline is deeply committed to understanding and informing the leading edge of practice, supporting design culture and practice methods that build capacity to innovate, collaborate, and curate knowledge.In her architectural practice, Pauline has been involved in projects across the US and Canada from programming and planning, renovation and rehabilitation, to new construction on a variety of educational, housing, arts and cultural projects, including the co-founding of an award-winning design studio in Vancouver. She is a Higher Education Practice Leader and works with clients such as York University, Simon Fraser University, UBC, Bow Valley College, Camosun College and Vancouver Community College. While practicing in the US, work on academic buildings involved campuses such as Harvard University, M.I.T, Dartmouth, Lesley University and Brandeis. Recent work with cultural institutions includes the Canadian Museum of Human Rights, and DIALOG's short-listed design competition proposal for the new Art Gallery of Nova Scotia arts district on the Halifax waterfront.Pauline has extensive experience working with and learning from diverse stakeholder groups for institutions and the communities they serve. She is collaborating with diverse Indigenous partners on community-building projects such as affordable housing for the Metis Nation of BC and on federally funded research about First Nations Perspectives on Accessibility with the BC First Nations Health Authority. Committed to elevating the practice of design, Pauline is also regularly involved in design reviews on awards juries with the AIA (American Institute of Architects). Academic experience has involved developing and teaching Masters and Bachelors level architectural studio courses in Canada and the U.S. She has been an invited architectural critic at M.I.T, the Rhode Island School of Design, B.C.I.T. and the University of Manitoba.
