In my time with the police I achieved the position of Temporary Detective Superintendent and Director of Force Intelligence with responsibility for the governance of all related matters.I sat on the Executive Board for the Lancashire Women’s Centre, the Lancashire Reducing Reoffending strategic board and was chair of the local Integrated Offender Management board (IOM). I presented at the Lancashire Criminal Justice Board and prepared submissions for the Community Safety Strategy Group. I also sat on the Offender Health Strategy Group.I lead the Anti-Corruption unit for Lancashire Constabulary whilst acting as the North West Regional Chair and Staff Officer to the ACPO National Lead on corruption. As part of this post I initiated, developed and implemented the Counter Corruption Strategy for Lancashire.I performed the role of Senior Investigating Officer for serious and complex high profile offences including sensitive investigations into the abuse of the elderly in residential care working with partners including the Care Quality Commission.I was responsible for leading activity on the specific issue of women offenders, working closely with the Home Office and driving activity in preventing reoffending locally.I acted as a nationally trained hostage negotiator for kidnap, hostage and suicide intervention situations for ten years and carried out the role of Force Coordinator for this high risk area for five years.
