As lead product engineer at Sea Level Research I am responsible for leading the front end development of a mobile first, offline capable web app built with ReactJS.The planner product we’re working on is called Vantage. Fruitful is building a marketplace for mortgages.Previously, with Fruitful version one: Allowing retail investors to make P2P investments against commercial mortgages. * Leading the engineering side of the business which included: Developing algorithms to allocate investor funds to mortgages, facilitate the automatic resale of micro-contracts on an internal marketplace when investors wanted to withdraw funds.

Key Projects: * Developed "Ingenium", a HR system that assisted in various industry audits for ISO compliance; Instantly preparing HR reports that used to take several weeks to collate; Tracking H&S data such as recording accidents and generating statistics, tracking staff radiation exposure for workers in nuclear facilities, managed the workflow for workers vetted by the UK Government for Security Check(SC) and Developed Vetting(DV) clearance. * Developed "PIMS 2", an accounting system that replaced the front end of a legacy accounting platform to enable improved tracking of job budgets, performance monitoring of departments, and reporting and workflow enhancements to help users perform tasks that were previously difficult to access.

I developed the web site http://ourkidssports.com - An interactive tool that allows administrators of junior football leagues, clubs and teams to manage all aspects of their league from player registration details to publishing match results.When I left the company the web site was getting 2.5Million page views per month.

As a PHP Developer I worked on a range of internal projects, including: * Automation to link the customer facing broadband ordering, management, and support with to the provisioning gateway provided by BT Wholesale. * Part of the team building a customer control panel framework to allow customers to self-serve previously manual tasks for jobs like adding email addresses or setting up websites. Including an XSLT based template system to allow the design department to update content and layout without needing to involve the development team.

Talk-101 was an early Internet Service Provider that offered dial-up internet, hosting, and web development along with a customer facing cyber cafe.While working at Talk-101, highlights and accomplishments include:* Developed e-commerce websites with ColdFusion, including work on The Book People's first web presence. Later moving to PHP to solve some of the development limitations I was finding with CF.* Built the ISP's first Linux based servers and migrated DNS away from Windows NT. Followed by building mail and web servers on Linux.* In the cyber cafe part of the business I would train customers on how to use the Internet, for many people this was their first experience of using a web browser, email, and IRC.* Telephone tech support - Tricky in a time when many people only had one phone line, and they'd have to hang up the support call to try any of the potential solutions you' offered to their problems.
