I am a global copper exploration specialist and geoscientist known for accelerating the discovery process and expanding and improving mineral resources. I have a long track record of building discovery capacity in varied, multi-cultural, international settings. As Vice President, Exploration at Element 29 Resources, I have assembled, and currently lead a high-performing exploration team. My team recently completed several drilling programs designed to establish initial mineral resource estimates of porphyry copper projects. The safe and efficient execution of drilling led to the production of a resource estimate within 18 months of the company IPO.In my concurrent role as independent director at Nicola Mining, I collaborate with senior management and board members to help the company make sensible exploration decisions by providing technical guidance. More specifically, I introduced a productive exploration thesis that continues to influence exploration programs.I pride myself on being able to recognize and act on exploration opportunities by determining workable solutions to exploration problems and communicate complex geologic ideas to all stakeholders. For the past two decades, I spent considerable time working in the field in South America, most notably Peru and Chile, and while not completely fluent, I work regularly in Spanish, manage and lead Spanish speakers, and liaise with local partners in Spanish. My expertise includes:Exploration Team Leadership | Opportunity Recognition | Mineral Deposit EvaluationsProject Acquisitions & Assessments | Exploration Strategy Development & ImplementationHealth & Safety, Environmental, and Social Responsibility Best Practices
